Solution

Data collected

Piano Analytics

The personal data processed is listed in article 6.5 Type of personal data (mainly the IP address and the identifier of the user's terminal), and their usages in article 6.6 Nature of processing, of the standard Personal Data Processing Agreement (DPA). In compliance with the GDPR definition above, all Piano Analytics data is considered personal data;

Piano Subscriptions

The data collected is detailed in the Data Collected by Piano article, which lists the specific data fields gathered across page load, address, consent, payment and subscription records;

Piano Audience

The categories of data collected are listed in the Piano Audience privacy policy;

How it is collected

Collection is carried out on the customer's owned digital properties, through the tracker configured for each solution. It is governed by the choice the user makes on the consent management platform, or by the exemption available for Piano Analytics: the signal received determines what is stored on the terminal and what is collected.

Piano classifies each tracker as mandatory, essential or optional by default.

The customer configures the consent mode applied, opt-in, essential or opt-out, which determines what is stored, and how that choice is presented to the user, through Cookies & Consent and Consent Management for Client Storage (Cookies).

Identifiers and trackers (cookie, mobile ID, pixels, …)

Trackers, generally associated with identifiers, make possible to track over time the behaviour of a logged-in or unlogged user on an online platform.

Trackers require either the writing or the reading of an information on a user's terminal (smartphone, computer, connected watch, etc.), and are therefore governed by the European ePrivacy directive and each national “cookie law” and guidelines in that regard.
