In Composer, when you create a meter that resets after a given time period, note that special logic applies. If you set a month-long meter, the meter will reset on the corresponding day of the following month, rather than at a fixed interval of 30 days. In other words, if a meter begins on January 18th and has a one month cycle, that meter will end on February 18th. Likewise, if it begins on February 18th, it will reset on March 18th, even though February has fewer days. This logic applies for all meters that reset after a specified number of months.
Another important nuance of the meter is that once the meter resets, it does not immediately restart. Instead, the subsequent meter period begins when the user next accesses the site. For example, if a meter resets on August 3rd, but the user does not access the page until August 8th, the meter begins again on August 8th.
