Subscriptions

Why don't my subscribers receive push notifications?

The three most likely reasons for subscribers failing to receive push notifications:

  1. Notifications may be disabled by the user's device, operating system, or browser. You cannot directly impact these user settings. However, Composer may be used to target experiences to users based on their browser's push notification settings. For example, this may be used to exclude users blocking push notifications from your campaign, or to provide specific instructions to enable push notifications before proceeding.

  2. The user's browser may be in Incognito mode. In this case, they will not receive push notifications because all notifications are blocked by default in the browser's settings.

  3. The web Push Certificate (.p12 certificate) for the Safari browser may be expired or not uploaded. In this case, attach a Web Push Certificate or check the expiration date to address the issue.

On the other hand, some users may receive multiple push notifications at once. This is most likely related to the Push notification expiration time - if a user has his computer turned off for more days, after turning it on, the user receives all missed notifications at once.

Scheduled Push notification campaigns send push notifications a maximum of once per day. It is not possible to set up a more granular frequency, you can set up only the days themselves on which the notification should be sent.

Another solution may be to set up a one-time campaign which you will manually trigger.
