How can a user re-subscribe to an ESP campaign?

Below are the steps for a user to re-subscribe and start receiving newsletters from an ESP campaign again.

  1. Search for an old newsletter in your email provider's inbox and click on the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. This link can be localized, so you might see it in different languages (based on the client's locale).

  2. You will be redirected to a separate page where you will see a list of all email campaigns that you're currently subscribed to or not subscribed to. If you're only subscribed to one email campaign, you will see something like this:

    By clicking re-subscribe you will start receiving newsletters from this email campaign again.

    If you have multiple newsletter subscriptions, you can click on the link Click here to manage your subscriptions and select the ones you'd like to re-subscribe to and save the changes:

Another way for users to manage newsletter preferences is the Newsletters tab in the My Account section if you're using Identity Management as your user management system. More information is available here.

If the user unsubscribed from the Unsubscribe page in the newsletter by selecting the option "Unsubscribe from all", marked a newsletter as spam, or the mail had a hard bounce (e.g. it could not be delivered) you are not able to resubscribe the user via the ESP dashboard yourself. The user can either re-subscribe following the steps above or you would need to reach out to Piano Support at support@piano.io for help.

Please also provide documentation (for example a screenshot of your conversation with the user), where the user consents to re-subscribing to the newsletter campaign.
