What does adding the noptid Parameter in Templates do?

Adding the the parameter noptid to an <a> anchor tag can be used to get rid of the _ptid string in the URL.

The _ptid string, Piano's tracking ID, is added to URLs so that we can attribute conversions to the relevant Experiences or Templates. Without this parameter included, we will not be able to reflect conversions in reports linked to the initial URL, Template, or Experience where the user converted on.

An example that can be used in templates can be seen below:

HTML
<a href="https://example.com" target="_parent" noptid>Example</a>

The URL will look like this with the _ptid string included:

https://www.example.com/faqs/?_ptid=%7Bjcx%7DH4sIAAAAAAAAAI2QT1ODMBDFv0vOjZOEUKC3Oi1o69BpxRa9pbCl0UIxCVB1_O6mjH_GGQ_u7B52f--9w74hIXM0QrfTedrmddjM0QDVooC1hO76TBihASYOZh6mQ-y62BniwOeYx52KT1ePMW1WMn6lmFDfCwRnTk6B52ILW-b7FFhAM854ntlgONWgJFQZ9NHTNF3O7mar6H4e_qLTE2SNkceql1GfEKl9ogtMbLFnIKzIn0wDbuEIXouy2Otf_nH2bdb7Y7fY7UBtLhfuwyROQxZSRqx8L3QCZX0QBtDIqAYGyHzuvXORRMky8qJkM16hH7YWSorKnCVVczgMUCbKWsii0l-HVmrZc9Tiv783xKad3ARel6rwtAX10v3ne7K2kQ69YMwOt83ssdGgxgVUxrK8zND7B_f8viHSAQAA

After adding the noptid parameter, the URL will look like this:

https://www.example.com/faqs
