We define manual renewal as the period during which customers can choose to renew their subscription themselves before the next billing date. In practice, this means that prior to the end of their current billing cycle, customers will see an option in My Account to manually renew. This option appears a configurable number of days, weeks, months, or years before the current billing period expires.
The manual renewal period can be set in either the payment term’s advanced settings or in the dynamic term settings.
At checkout, the same logic applies: the manual renewal option is shown on the system template only when the remaining subscription period is shorter than the configured manual renewal period.
